The Road Freight Association (RFA) Convention 2026 will place the spotlight on the changing operating environment for South Africa’s road freight sector, with speakers expected to address issues ranging from sustainability to politics and business confidence.
The convention takes place from May 29-31 at The Capital Zimbali Hotel in KwaZulu-Natal under the theme ‘Shifting Gears’.
Among the confirmed speakers are Liesl de Wet and political analyst Justice Malala.
De Wet, who chairs RFA Green Transport, is expected to address the shift towards more sustainable and smarter transport solutions, a growing consideration for fleet operators as customers, regulators and financiers place more focus on environmental performance.
Malala will bring a broader political and economic perspective to the convention, looking at how developments in the country’s political landscape may affect business and transport.
The RFA says the event is designed to support discussion on the future of freight and provide a platform for industry engagement.
