Despite its recent economic woes, Zambia remains an attractive business destination, according to Japanese ambassador to Zambia, Kiyoshi Koinuma.
Cited by the Times of Zambia, Koinuma reportedly said: "It is true that Zambia is facing many economic challenges, such as the depreciation of the kwacha, increased load shedding and rising inflation. But this is not a problem for Zambia alone. Many African countries are facing the same problems due to the slowdown of the Chinese economy."
Koinuma said that a number of Japanese companies had expressed willingness to invest in Zambia.
