IAG Cargo increases Cape Town frequencies

Services between London Heathrow and Cape Town will increase from seven to 19 flights a week under IAG Cargo’s 2026/27 northern hemisphere winter schedule.

The increase forms part of the cargo division of International Airlines Group’s schedule covering October 2026 to March 2027. The company did not specify the additional cargo tonnage available on the Cape Town route or how the frequencies compared with the previous winter season.

Elsewhere in the network, a new service between London Gatwick and Colombo launches on October 23, operating three times a week. It will support the movement of Sri Lankan exports, including garments, perishables, rubber products, tyres and automotive components, according to IAG Cargo.

Services between London Gatwick and Bangkok will double from three to six flights a week, while Heathrow-Delhi frequencies increased from 14 to 21 a week in September.

“Our winter schedule is focused on providing customers with the capacity and connectivity they need across key global trade lanes,” said Camilo Garcia Cervera, chief sales and marketing officer at IAG Cargo.

“The introduction of Colombo, alongside additional services to Bangkok and Delhi, strengthens trade connections between Asia and key markets worldwide.”

The schedule also includes the resumption of daily Heathrow-Dubai services from November 3. Daily Heathrow-Doha services resumed on September 1.
