US firms seek SA partners in port and airport projects

THE US Trade and Development Agency met South African companies in Baltimore yesterday to discuss possible joint ventures in local port and airport infrastructure projects.
Representatives of ten South African engineering firms seeking teaming arrangements with US companies in order to bid on internationally tendered infrastructure projects were among the guests.
The TDA is an independent US federal agency that assists in the creation of jobs for Americans by helping US companies pursue overseas business opportunities.
It provides American firms with market entry, exposure and information through the funding of feasibility studies, technical assistance, reverse trade missions and conferences.
