Transnet/unions agree a two-year pay deal

Transnet has concluded a two-year wage settlement with its recognised unions Satawu and Utatu-Sarhwu, according to a statement issued to FTWOnline on behalf of Brian Molefe, Transnet group CE. This settlement of an 8.5% across-the-board increase in basic pensionable pay for this financial year and 9% for the next year covers all its employees in the bargaining unit. Those covered by this agreement will receive salary increases backdated to April 1, as part of the May pay run.
