The Labour Court has confirmed an interim order as final against labour union, South African Cabin Crew Association (SACCA), and its members, preventing them from embarking on industrial action. Such action was declared as an unprotected strike.
“Whilst we appreciate that the appeal by SACCA has been overturned and that an interim order has been made final, we do not see this as a matter of winners and losers,” said South African Airways (SAA) spokesperson, Tlali Tlali, on Wednesday.
He added that SAA would explore ways to resolve the issues between the airline and its employees while ensuring that there was business continuity.
