LLoyd Triestino provides one of the most comprehensive services to the West African coast, says Asmus Seubert of agents Combine Ocean.
Seubert says the line uses Abidjan as a base port for the West African coast. From Abidjan LLoyd Triestino services almost all of the major ports, including Freetown and Angola.
It also calls in at Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Sailing time from Cape Town to Abidjan is about eight days, he says.
From there the line uses smaller feeder services to transport goods to other ports. Lloyd Triestino provides a reliable service, which is not surprising as it has been in business for around 160 years, he says.
Founded in Italy in 1836, Lloyd Triestino is one of the world's oldest shipping lines.
