JAS confirms SPA with Pentagon Freight Services

Atlanta-based logistics multinational JAS has announced the signing of a share purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire UK-headquartered Pentagon Freight Services.

The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of this year, subject to regulatory approval.

The move marks a significant milestone in JAS’s growth strategy, aimed at strengthening its capabilities in complex, high-value sectors such as oil and gas, marine, construction and energy.

"The Pentagon acquisition perfectly complements JAS's strategic goals, significantly increasing our ability to offer highly specialised logistics solutions for key industries,” said Marco Rebuffi, president and CEO of JAS.

"We are looking forward to finalising this acquisition and welcoming the Pentagon team members into the JAS family."

With more than 1 200 employees and 65 offices worldwide, Pentagon brings over five decades of expertise in delivering tailored supply chain solutions to some of the world’s most demanding industries.

The company has built a reputation for excellence in critical logistics services, particularly in energy-related sectors.

Ashley Taylor, group CEO of Pentagon, said the agreement with JAS reflected a shared vision for long-term growth.

"We are confident that JAS is the right company to expand our global network and achieve our growth ambitions.”

Formed originally in Milan in 1978, the company’s “goal is to leverage our experience and continue to offer dedicated logistics solutions to our industry-leading clients,” he said.

“We look forward to growing stronger together with JAS."
