Africa Global Logistics (AGL) Namibia and equipment supplier Right Equipped Solutions (RES) have delivered specialised dry bulk equipment from Walvis Bay to an oil and gas support facility in Pemba, Mozambique.
The shipment crossed multiple countries, border posts and customs jurisdictions, arriving on schedule without disrupting the client’s operational timeline, according to a joint statement from the companies.
The destination facility in Cabo Delgado supports offshore rig operations serving the Rovuma Basin’s liquefied natural gas developments.
AGL managed the movement door to door through its regional network. The customs requirements spanned Namibia’s Southern African Customs Union framework and Mozambique’s import and hydrocarbon-sector requirements, the companies said.
“Moving specialised equipment from Walvis Bay all the way to Cabo Delgado shows what our ports, people and partners can already do,” said AGL Namibia managing director Ben Stenning.
AGL manages the Walvis Bay Multipurpose Bulk Terminal and operates in both Walvis Bay and Lüderitz. Its Mozambique business has close to 900 logistics staff across a dozen sites, according to the statement.
RES is already AGL’s regional equipment partner for its oil and gas supply bases in Walvis Bay and Lüderitz. Founded in Namibia in 2021, the company supplies equipment and maintenance support to the mining, ports, maritime, and oil and gas sectors.
“Right Equipped was founded in Namibia in 2021, and today we are supplying equipment to oil and gas operations on the other side of the continent,” said RES managing member Henner Rodenwoldt.
