Gifts valued at R250 000 delivered through ‘Shoebox’ project

It was a delivery with a difference for IMPERIAL Cargo Solutions which recently delivered 1800 gifts to the children at Umtholo Primary School in Tokoza, provided through its Shoebox Project 2010. Just under one third of these learners are orphans. The Christmas gifts, valued at R250 000 in total, cover items that each child may need in the coming months, from basic household goods to school equipment. Initially, IMPERIAL employees were encouraged to “adopt” one or more children from the school, for whom they would fill a shoebox.
