RAY SMUTS MORGAN Air Cargo is positively blooming since it decision two months ago to add fresh flowers to its growing list of export commodities. Marco van Niekerk says following his appointment as general manager in May this year, several challenging and exciting objectives were identified. “With Morgan Air Cargo firmly established as one of the leading fresh produce handlers in South Africa, it was decided to expand current operations to offer more value-added options to the number of existing clients serviced in the floricultural industry. Since the launch of our flower department in July, we have grown in leaps and bounds.” He says the company currently offers several tailor-made freighting solutions boasting enormous investment in capital goods such as vacuum coolers and 1 300m2 cooling facilities, on top of human capital. “Our people are recognised as our most valued assets - without them there would be no business.”
