Exports expansion campaign launched by Saudi carrier

The airfreight division of Saudi Arabia Airlines has launched a new campaign aimed at supporting the kingdom’s exports expansion into a wider range of international markets.

Saudia Cargo’s ‘Beyond’ initiative, introduced in collaboration with the Saudi Export Development Authority and the 'Saudi Made' initiative, is part of the country’s Saudi Vision 2030 economic development project.

Primarily, it seeks to enhance the kingdom’s global trade position by establishing new trade routes and assisting domestic industries in accessing a broader customer base.

Saudia Cargo said the campaign’s slogan, ‘From Saudi to the World, We Reach Beyond’, had been designed to reflect Saudia Cargo’s commitment to transporting local goods to an increasing number of global destinations.

The airfreight division indicated that it would leverage its logistics infrastructure to export a variety of national products, including agricultural produce and dairy items, to emerging markets such as Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Addis Ababa, Jakarta and Cairo.

In a statement shared via social media, Saudia Cargo expressed its intention to support local manufacturers as well as small and medium-sized enterprises in reaching new international customers.

The company reported a 14% year-on-year increase in exports in the previous year.

As part of its expansion efforts in the current year, Saudia Cargo introduced a new route to Zhengzhou in China to further extend its global network.

At present, the company operates flights to approximately 100 airports and serves around 250 customer destinations across four continents.

As a member of the SkyTeam Cargo alliance, it has access to 150 dedicated cargo destinations and nearly 800 passenger routes worldwide. Its fleet of Boeing freighters transports a diverse range of goods, including e-commerce shipments, pharmaceuticals, high-value consignments, hazardous materials and perishable items.
