Tough crate…Sean Abbott, MD of Cape Crating, stands beside a rig carrying a 37ton injection moulder packed in a crate especially designed to carry the full 37tons at the base of the crate. This type of cargo requires specialised handling by heavy machines and needs a crate strong enough to protect the sensitive electronics. The dimensions of the crate are 10.2 x 2m and 6 x 3.3m. The machine is secured in the crate and wrapped in four layers of barrier foil to keep the moisture out while at sea.
