According to Soares, figures from the Chinese Customs Service showed that, between January and September of this year, Portuguese exports to China totalled US$1.192 billion, which was an increase of 45.8% against the same period of 2011. Portugal’s imports from China, meanwhile, fell 12.8%, to US$1.877 billion.
