WILHELMSEN LINES has included the Ghanaian port of Takoradi on its route between Australia, West Africa and South Africa.

Company spokesmman Leigh Walker said Takoradi was included because of increased South African and Australian investments in gold mines in the region.

Wilhelmsen uses ro-ro vessels capable of transporting a variety of mining equipment. Transit time from Durban will take 10 days.
