EAST LONDON’s shipping community last week rolled out the red carpet as FTW celebrated its milestone 30th anniversary - and the 50th anniversary of its parent company Now Media - at a function in the port city. A R10 000 donation was handed to Buffalo City’s marine services division as part of FTW’s country-wide 30th anniversary community upliftment initiative. In Port Elizabeth the Eastern Cape Youth Choir was the chosen charity, while in Saldanha Bay we supported the port’s National Water Week. In Cape Town an FTW bursary will enable an underprivileged student to follow a 3-year maritime studies course at the Simon’s Town School.
