THE FIRST section of a South African vessel to be launched in August is sitting on a Polish slipway. But thanks to the age of technology, a composite of the model of the vessel, Engen Rainbow, positioned in the sea via computer graphics, is pictured above. The Engen Rainbow is under construction at the Szczecin shipyard and is one of two double bottomed, double sided product chemical tankers being built in a joint venture by Engen and Unicorn.
The second vessel, Engen Simunye will be launched in October.
