As Danish shipping giant, Maersk Line, drops out of the chase, French line CMA CGM remains the sole bidder for Singapore-based NOL, and their takeover discussions are “exclusive”, said the Singapore company.
This was confirmed only hours after the French carrier became the latest container line to report a third-quarter net profit plummeting 75% to the equivalent of R714 million.
