Unions in Belgium have called for a National Day of Action on Tuesday, May 20.
According to local news, members of the Maritime and Coastal Services Agency (MDK) and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges will take part in the strike.
The labour action is expected to impact port operations on that day, according to information released by logistics major Kuehne+Nagel.
In an advisory circulated by Yang Ming, the carrier announced that port operator PSA Antwerp would suspend truck export deliveries ahead of the strike.
This suspension will commence on Monday, May 19, at 10pm and last until Wednesday, May 21, at 6am.
Yang Ming says that during this period, only import pick-ups will be processed, and export deliveries will not be accepted.
Additionally, empty containers will continue to be processed, and checks at the gate will be conducted to ensure compliance with these measures.
