My client is looking for an Airfreight Supervisor to join their close knit team based in Airport Industria. A Dangerous Goods (DG) certification will be highly advantageous.
If you have solid airfreight forwarding experience, a strong operational background, and previous supervisory experience, this could be the opportunity for you. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day airfreight operations, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently from start to finish while maintaining exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Duties:
- Supervising the airfreight operations team.
- Managing import and export airfreight shipments from origin to destination.
- Ensuring all shipments comply with customer requirements and industry regulations.
- Liaising with airlines, customers, overseas agents and service providers.
- Monitoring operational performance and resolving escalations.
- Assisting with staff development, training and workflow management.
- Ensuring service levels and deadlines are consistently achieved.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in airfreight clearing and forwarding operations.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within clearing and forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of import and export airfreight procedures.
- Good understanding of customs and airline processes.
- Dangerous Goods (DG) certification will be highly advantageous.
- ShipShape experience will be advantageous.
