World’s No. 2 container port records volume slump

The world’s second largest container port, Singapore, suffered a 6.5% slump in container volumes in the first nine months of 2015.

Its September throughput was 2.4 million TEUs, a massive 13.5% drop over September 2014.

And Singapore handled 23.5m TEUs in the January 1-September 30 period, compared to 25.13m TEUs in the first nine months of 2014.
