In one of the biggest shipments for the growing cement industry in Namibia, the port of Walvis Bay is in the process of unloading 40 000 bags of clinker from the Magnum Power. It will take a fleet of 70 trucks around 20 days to transport the clinker over a distance of around 400 kilometres to Whale Rock/Cheetah Cement in Otjiwarongo, according to Namport communication manager Taná Pesat.
