US- based package delivery company United Parcel Services (UPS) will launch a Tunisia-based pan-African airline from January 12, according to Air Cargo News.
In partnership with Tunisian freight firm Express Logistic, UPS will set up Express Air Cargo (Enfidha) and plans to develop services between Enfidha airport – about midway between Tunis and Sousse - and 51 African destinations, including Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.
Reciprocal cargo flights have been launched from Enfidha to the express carrier’s main European hub in Cologne, Germany, as well as to Malta using an advanced turbo-prop aircraft, which is operated by West Air Sweden.
