TRANSNET PORT Terminals
has, in its first media
disclosure to date, denied
any cover-up of its new
multi-million rand cold
store in the port of
Cape Town, despite
mystification on the part
of the transport sector.
Speaking to FTW last
week, Graham Braby, TPT’s
chief operating officer
for bulk, breakbulk and
automotive, said: “There is
no secrecy about it.
“We will go to the
media when we are ready,
when we launch, but we are
not quite ready yet.”
Quizzed over the
thinking behind citing it
right alongside a similar
facility operated by FPT, the
Capespan subsidiary, Braby
said: “Our logic is based on
demand and commitment
from cargo owners."
