Global schedule reliability broke its continued upward trend in September, declining -0.7 percentage points month-on-month (m-o-m) to reach 45.5%.
That’s according to the latest Global Liner Performance (GLP) report compiled by maritime consultancy Sea-Intelligence, based on schedule reliability figures up to and including September.
The average delay for late vessel arrivals, however, has continued its consistent decline since the start of the year. It dropped by another -0.10 days m-o-m to 5.81 days. This is the second consecutive month that the average delay figure has dropped below the six-day mark since April 2021.
In terms of carrier reliability scores, Maersk (53.2%) has maintained top spot for some months, with several lines vying for a position in the top 5.
As the report itself is quite comprehensive and examines schedule reliability across 34 different trade lanes and 60+ carriers, this report covers the global highlights of the full report.
