SA-Kenya relations strengthened with joint business council

The launch this week of the Kenya/South Africa joint business council has been welcomed as a “big step towards strengthening relations between the two countries”.
“The relationship has been there but [the] business partnership has not been very strong,” Laban Onditi, vice- national chairman at the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was quoted by CNBC Africa as saying

He also applauded the resolution of the visa issue, commenting: “From now on South Africa will be issuing double entry for one year, with the option of extending it to three years.

South Africa had only been issuing single entry visas for one month.
