SA GDP contracts 0.6 percent in third quarter

JOHANNESBURG, December 3 (ANA) - South Africa's economy had contracted by 0.6 percent in the third quarter of 2019 after expanding by a revised 3.2 percent (previously stated as 3.1 percent) in Q2, the national statistics agency said on Tuesday.

Statistics South Africa said the main drags on gross domestic product were the key mining and manufacturing sectors.
