Following a fourmonth
pilot run,
One Two One
Logistics has
successfully launched its
new express airfreight
product.
According to Maurizio
Catalano, sales and
marketing director for
One Two One Logistics,
the initial start-up and
implementation of the
online express tool,
ExpressFr8, has been
extremely positive and
expectations are high for
the portal to see increased
traffic over the coming
months.
Catalano told FTW the
tool was functional globally
and it was adding value to
the organisation’s range of
services.
“We are already planning
further development
and two more phases
are currently in the
development stage.”
According to
Catalano, ExpressFR8
is an extremely userfriendly
tool where
customers can access
a host of express
airfreight
services by
simply clicking
a button.
“ExpressFr8
customers
can obtain
all-inclusive
cargo quotes
online, easily
convert these
to bookings,
arrange collection, and
then track their shipments
to destination. It provides
door-to-door services
to any destination
worldwide, using
major integrator
services,” he said.
The service accepts any
item from envelopes and
small parcels to 70kg pieces
with a total shipment
weight of 300kg.
He said shipping of
items which
exceeded the
ExpressFr8
piece weight
limits could
be initiated
online and
then handled
through the
company’s
conventional cargo
channels.
“The service is considered
to be a revolutionary
concept for South Africa. It
offers an integrator-style,
premium express door-todoor
service that’s available
to any company that has
logistics requirements,” said
Catalano. “Our customers
can access the system
while they are visiting their
own clients, and produce
instant quotes or advise on
shipment status.”
Introducing innovative
solutions to the logistics
business was of increasing
importance in the current
business environment, he
said.
Catalano founded One
Two One Logistics in
2010 and in 2014 it was
incorporated into the TSI
group of companies. This
type of innovation was
integral to growth, he said.
