Port of Quelimane starts dredging process

The Port of Quelimane has not been dredged for five years.

Dredging at the port of Quelimane in Zambézia Province, Mozambique has begun, in order to remove about 300 000 cubic metres of sediment to improve navigability on the access channel to the dock.

Mozambican news agency AIM reported that work – funded by state port and rail company CFM – would take about six months to complete.
