Partnership route works for WC

Partnerships are integral to
the success of the Western
Cape.
This is according to
Minister of Economic
Opportunities, Alan Winde,
who says far more has been
achieved in the past few
years through partnership
and collaboration.
“The province’s air access
team has, for example,
managed to secure ten new
direct international flights
into Cape Town,” he said.
“This team shows how
partnerships are impacting
on the province. It is possibly
the only collaboration in the
country where one has three
different tiers of government
and the private sector all
working together to achieve
one goal.”
Cape Town Air Access
is a partnership between
Wesgro, the City of Cape
Town, the Western Cape
Government, Airports
Company of South Africa,
Cape Town Tourism and
South African Tourism.
“Partnerships between the
various government entities
and partnerships with
business is how we make the
difference in the Western
Cape, said Winde.”
