Nigerian-owned coastal shipping could create 100 000 jobs within a year.
That would be enabled through the strict enforcement of the Cabotage Act, ships and ports communication CEO, Bolaji Akinola, told the Lagos Daily Post.
And that act, he added, is very clear. “Trading on Nigerian coastal waters can only be undertaken by vessels owned by Nigerians.”
