HOEGH AUTOLINERS has taken delivery of the fifth in a series of nine newbuildings ordered from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering in South Korea. The Pure Car Truck Carrier Hoegh Berlin will be deployed on the line’s Mediterranean and Middle East service. She has a fully-loaded capacity of 6 100 cars, secured on 12 decks with a total deck area equal to that of nine football fields. The next vessel will be delivered in 2006, two in 2007 and one in 2008.
