New campaign pushes customised software solutions

Forte Supply Chain Consulting has launched a campaign designed to move forward digitally firsttime software adopters as well as current software users that are ready to take the next step. According to Renko Bergh, Forte’s chief operating officer, the campaign – branded “Move forward digitally” – aims, within each division of the company, to provide the most fitting software to clients. “Moving forward
digitally means different things to different clients,” said Bergh.  “This may be for first-time software adopters or clients that are ready to take the next step into more evolved or add-on functions within current software offerings.” With slower economic growth and recovery at present there was pressure on logistics operators to adapt and introduce digitalisation within their businesses, said Bergh.
He told FTW that software expectations and project requirements had to be adapted to the digitalisation growth stage of each client. “We assist late software adopters with bridging the initial gap or we introduce add-on features and integrations to more complex environments. Forte has established a trusted network of software providers to provide the most fitting solution for each client. We are not a referral party, but a core implementation partner for our main software partners. Forte specialises in the implementation of software within the transport, warehouse and container industry.” According to Bergh,
with an abundant supply of software providers in the market, selecting a service provider that approaches software implementation from within an industry perspective is key. Also on the cards in 2019 is new offices for the Western Capeheadquartered company. “We will be moving in April to our new premises in the Durbanville Village Square,” said Bergh. The company also recently introduced new project leaders for Forte Warehouse Solutions who will be based in Cape Town.
