MSC has launched a new Europe-Red Sea-Middle East Express service, connecting European ports with Saudi Arabia and Aqaba, with onward multimodal links into the Gulf.
According to MSC, the service has been introduced in response to growing demand for services from Europe to the Red Sea and “the challenging scenario in the Middle East”.
The first sailing was scheduled to depart Antwerp on Sunday, May 10.
The eastbound rotation is Gdansk, Klaipeda, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Valencia, Barcelona, Gioia Tauro, Abu Kir, King Abdullah Port, Jeddah and Aqaba.
MSC said the service would call at strategic ports in Europe, directly connecting to King Abdullah Port, Jeddah and Aqaba. It would also provide connections to ports of discharge in the Gulf, including the United Arab Emirates and Upper Gulf, through the carrier’s multimodal service.
The line said European origins from the North West Continent and Scan Baltic to the West Mediterranean, Adriatic, East Mediterranean and Black Sea would be served through its wider service network.
