Lawhill Maritime Centre

head boy Bohlale Motsieloa

and head girl Katlego

Makgato assist Western

Cape Premier Helen Zille

to unveil the plaque at the

opening of the new Lawhill

facilities last week.

Sponsored by the TK

Foundation and the AP

Moller Maersk Foundation,

the school has built a

new electronic navigation

classroom, believed to be

the first in the world for a

secondary school, according

to Western Cape Premier

Helen Zille. Six additional

cabins to house more

students, a ships library

and repository facility and

a marine sciences classroom

are part of the upgrade.
