Transnet yesterday lifted the force majuere declared on July 27 following a cyberattack that paralysed the state-owned logistics company.
In a statement released today, it has advised that as expected there is a spike in the demand for import containers at Pier 2.
Booking system slots for the day shift have been fully taken up. Slots are however available from 19:00.
“We are expecting to experience these periodic spikes until a significant portion of the 8000 imports on the ground have been evacuated.
