KZN office records exceptional growth

South Africa-based international freight and logistics service provider World Net Logistics is expanding and bracing for global growth. Regional director in KwazuluNatal, Kishore Kanayelal, said despite the weaker global economic climate over the past few years the company’s local branch
had managed to record exceptional annual growth and had plans to move to bigger bespoke premises alongside the N2 near Umhlanga Ridge. “The move is based on the increasing demand from our clients and, in line with World Net’s growth strategy, it will enable us to improve our overall efficiency,” he said.  Kanayelal added that the
company was also looking at increasing its courier services to companies engaged in e-commerce, which had achieved strong growth in consumer spend in 2018. The new premises, which are being developed by JT Ross in Northfield Business Park in Riverhorse Valley, cover 10 850 sqm in warehouse space and include 8000
pallet positions, a 1500sqm bond store, and 900sqm of A-grade office space. The development is expected to be completed by November 2019. Kanayelal said the move would enable the firm to remain strategically positioned in close proximity to the N2 and the airport and with easy access to Durban port to service their clients across an array of industries. World Net is globally represented in over 110 countries with 500 offices operated by 30 000 logistics professionals.
