Italian shipping group to fly the Red Ensign

A shipowner has hinted that more vessels in its fleet could be reflagged to the UK.

As Lloyds List reported, the Italian shipowner Emanuele Grimaldi “has delivered a big vote of confidence in the UK ship register by disclosing that the first two newbuildings ordered for its subsidiary Atlantic Container Line will fly the Red Ensign.”
