Barbara Mommen, CEO of the Maputo Corridor Logistics Initiative (MCLI), has stressed that those in the freight industry linked with Mozambique should be persuaded to attend the next MCLI stakeholder forum on September 9 – a day long series of presentations covering issues in road transport, border and customs.
But a special attraction, she added, is that Mozambique customs will be presenting a new road cargo manifest procedure which will be introduced at the KM4 terminal to improve clearing times and reduce delays.
“It is imperative that all transporters, clearing and forwarding agents and despachantes* attend this meeting in order to understand what will be required,” Mommen told FTWO.
