Four non-executive board
members from the Airports
Company South Africa
(Acsa) have been fired after
the Minister of Transport,
Dipuo Peters, issued notices
of intent to dismiss them late
last Friday.
The affected board
members are John Lamola,
McDonald Kenosi Moroka,
Chwayita Mabude and
Bajabulile Luthuli.
This follows an ongoing
disciplinary process at the
airport management company
after an independent forensic
report – conducted by Dr
VS Mncube Consulting, and
released in August last year –
found that “senior executives
had been implicated in
flouting the parastatal’s
supply chain rules”, including
certain tender processes.
The first series of
suspensions occurred in
November last year when
Acsa suspended three senior
managers amid allegations of
bribery and corruption within
its supply chain management
operations.
Four more axed at Acsa
