As of August 3 shippers from Europe to Japan will be able to take advantage of the Lufthansa Cargo/ANA Cargo joint venture for freight consignments.
They will then have access to the shared network of the two airlines - 90 weekly direct flights between Europe and Japan.
First customers in Germany, France, UK and Austria will participate in the partnership. All other European countries will follow step-by-step.
Lufthansa Cargo and ANA Cargo flights currently connect Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, London Heathrow, Paris Charles-de-Gaulle and Vienna with Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, Nagoya and Osaka.
