Eskom signs power supply deal with Zim

Eskom has signed a power supply agreement with its Zimbabwean counterpart, Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (Zesa), which will see the utilities selling surplus electricity to each other, according to a press statement issued by Eskom.

Eskom and Zesa form part of the Southern African Power Pool (Sapp), an institution aimed at promoting bilateral trading in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) through power purchase and sales agreements.
