THE MARITIME Institute will run a 6-day Customs Clearing and Forwarding workshop in Johannesburg beginning on September 30.
The accent of the syllabus is on customs requirements from a Southern African point of view and is likely to attract students from across the region, according to marketing manager Peter Fitt Jnr.
Students can enrol for subjects selectively or for the full curriculum over six days.
A further workshop will be held in Johannesburg in October titled Calming the troubled CCCs. Catastrophic congestion and Cross-eyed customers are two of the subjects on the curriculum which is aimed at middle management. We will be looking at some serious problem-solving with the accent on finding solutions. This is not a workshop for 3-hour lunches and several bottles of Chateaux Libertas, said Fitt.
