Cash boost for Moz transport

The World Bank has committed US$1.04 billion to support economic growth in Mozambique from 2012 through to 2016. Priority areas include transport, agriculture, climate change, energy, environment and health. Logistics and transport opportunities are being created by Mozambique’s geographic position and moves towards regional integration of trade, according to the World Bank. The strategy will focus on reducing the costs of logistics in Mozambique in order to boost the country’s agricultural, mining and manufacturing industries.
