Botswana route remains strong

After six years under the guiding hand of Kitty Hewitt, the Isando-based company has carved a lucrative niche in the general cargo market to Gaborone in Botswana where it also offers bonded warehousing. In total the two centres have 1600 m2 of warehouse space. “Our strong client base has been loyal from the outset and we a are proud of this. We also have a strong history of using smaller owner driver transporters to provide opportunities to new entrants to our business,” explained Hewitt, who lived in Botswana for 12 years. The company undertakes clearing and forwarding, border documentation, consolidations and has the facilities and qualified drivers to transport dangerous goods. Botswana Consolidators also offers a service to Swaziland, Lesotho and Tanzania with a Dar-es-Salaam-based partner.
