Automotive air cargo study out soon

ANNA COX THE AUTOMOTIVE Industry Development Centre (AIDC) will complete a feasibility study by the end of August on the possibility of establishing a dedicated air-cargo service customised to the specific needs of the local automotive industry. The aim is to consolidate standard air freight and the emergency cargo of the different car manufacturers and component suppliers into one dedicated service which would cut supply-chain operational costs and therefore improve the global competitiveness of the local automotive industry and its supply chain. Such a service would lead to improved service levels and shorter lead times at competitive rates.
