Last week saw the launch by marine insurance major Associated Marine of a new look logo – the first change in 18 years. The rebranding goes hand in hand with a renewed focus on improved customer service, chief operating officer Mike Brews told guests at the official launch in Johannesburg last Monday. “While many companies may claim this as a philosophy, Associated Marine is making it a way of life by ensuring that customer queries are dealt with rapidly and effectively,” he said. In its quest to become the marine insurance underwriter of choice, the company will not only continue to offer the standard range of services, but is looking into new and creative ways of assisting its clients with products that meet the more unusual requests with solutions that are innovative and forward-thinking, said Brews. In a separate development, Associated Marine will set up its own website. Part of the Santam group of companies, it has in the past relied on the Santam website, but is now creating an electronic brand and identity of its own. “Clients will be able to use the website as a direct means of contact with Associated Marine, as well as being able to download essential forms for day-to-day business with the company,” said Brews.
