Asian airfreight hub records significant growth for cargo

Significant growth in cargo throughput was recorded for the first half of 2017 at Hong Kong International Airport in China.

This was largely due to higher exports coinciding with an improvement in global trade, according to a statement released by the airport yesterday (Sunday).

A total of 2.3 million tonnes of cargo was handled, an increase of 11.3% in comparison with the same period in 2016.
