Air Namibia to Lagos, Accra
June 29 will see the launch by Air Namibia of its Windhoek-Lagos-Accra service. An Airbus A319-100 will operate on the route.

July 1 deadline for anti-terrorism treaty
A new international treaty designed to modernise and reinforce the legal framework for aviation security through the criminalisation of a variety of terrorist acts enters into force on July 1. Commonly referred to as the Beijing convention, it criminalises a number of acts constituting new and emerging threats against civil aviation, according to Dr Fang Liu, the secretary general of the International Civil Aviation Organisation.
