Acting on unfair trade

The Namibian Minister of Trade, Tjekero Tweya, is working with his department to establish a national Board of Trade to address unfair trade practices, tariff investigations and the setting of tariffs.

Delivering his budget motivation in the National Assembly last week, Tweya said the ministry had set aside an amount of R347.7 million to establish the board.

“The next step is finalising the draft bill for consideration by Cabinet,” he said.
